Carlos Albrecht, M.D., provides cardiology services to the Newberry community on behalf of Advanced Cardiology, an affiliate of Self Medical Group. A native of Peru, Dr. Albrecht earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal School of Medicine in 1993. He then completed a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Kyoto University GraduateSchool of Medicine in Japan.After completing an Internal Medicine Residency in Chicago at Cook County Hospital, Dr. Albrecht completed a preventive cardiology fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass., as well as a clinical cardiology fellowship at University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Albrecht is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiology.
